BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 29, 2023 鈥 more than 2 thousand people participated in the large-scale creative industries festival Create4-2023 "Jaratman Toi". Festival Create4 is a unique, extensive platform in support of the development of the creative economy of the country and the entire community of creative people, initiated by the United Nations Development Program in Kyrgyzstan and the Association of Creative Industries in 2022.听

"We appreciate the efforts of the state to support the creative economy as a priority direction and create favourable conditions for its development. We are proud to have witnessed the creation of a unique Park of Creative Industries in Kyrgyzstan, which will expand economic opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses, women and youth and help reduce the number of informal workers in this sector," said Monica Ridzhal, Deputy Representative of UNDP in Kyrgyzstan.
In April 2022, the First Create4 Festival was organised to support the law on the Creative Industries Park. The law was signed a week later by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, who adopted participation in the official opening of the Festival with the participation of more than a thousand people. The festival is attended by professionals and successful representatives from the field of art, music, IT, digital (digital) professions, and other creative industries from Kyrgyzstan and other countries.
"Today's Festival is organised by the joint efforts of more than 30 partners and with the involvement of more than 100 organisations 鈥 private companies, government agencies, development partners, civil activists, public foundations and academia 鈥 committed to developing creative industries in our country. The festival attracts creators not only from Kyrgyzstan but also from neighbouring countries 鈥 Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan 鈥 which will contribute to the development of creative Central Asia," says Nazgul Kubakayeva, Director of the Association of Creative Industries of Kyrgyzstan.
In honour of the anniversary of the Festival, the slogan "Jaratman toy" was chosen to commemorate the holiday of creators and creativity as tools for long-term and successful development in Kyrgyzstan. The Create4 program consisted of activities in 6 conceptual spaces,
revealing all levels of creativity from idea to implementation: SHYKTAN 鈥 Get inspired,
OIGON 鈥 Wake up, TAI-TAI 鈥 Step forward, ZHARAT 鈥揅reate, ZHIRGA 鈥 Enjoy, SHAM-SHUM - Refresh yourself.
The festival allowed participants to participate in more than 30 panel sessions, presentations and master classes on various topics relevant to current professionals and novice creators. Education and job fairs, legal consultations, pitching workshops, and music auditions helped visitors enter the creative profession.听

This year, the official partners of the Festival were the American University in Central Asia (偶蜜国际传媒) and the Program Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Bishkek.
