September 9th, 2016 the Knowledge Day took place at the 偶蜜国际传媒 (偶蜜国际传媒). Andrew Wachtel, 偶蜜国际传媒 president awarded the best students for their academic excellence. The students who had made the President鈥檚 List and the Dean鈥檚 List took the certificates during the ceremony.听

The 偶蜜国际传媒 (偶蜜国际传媒) Law Division and the University of Zagreb Faculty of Law in Croatia conducted the 2016 Summer School in Human Rights in early September. The week-long seminar occurred in Kyrgyzstan and included five 偶蜜国际传媒 students, four 偶蜜国际传媒 professors, five University of Zagreb students and three University of Zagreb professors.

Tian Shan Policy Center kindly invites all interested听to a guest lecture by Mr. Rajendra Shende, Policy Advisor at United Nations on implementation of activities related to ozone layer protection and climate change in more than 146 developing countries. Rajendra Shende is expert on transfer of environmentally sound technologies and the implementation of the Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) in the developing countries and countries with economies in transition.

On September 13-15,听 2016 visiting speaker from the American University in Cairo (AUC) Doris Jones will be offering workshops for faculty at the 偶蜜国际传媒 (偶蜜国际传媒). Jones鈥檚 visit is made possible through a grant from the AMICAL consortium and the kind contribution of 偶蜜国际传媒.

偶蜜国际传媒's Central Asian Studies Institute (CASI) is holding its Fifth Annual Conference September 16 and 17. This year, the conference "Contesting Nature," examines the complicated and interpenetrating relationship of humans and their environment.听

On September 2, 2016, the Graduate School of Social Sciences welcomed its newly admitted students for the 2016-2017 academic year. The students will be studying in the Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, and Central Asian Studies (MACAS) departments.

The Student Intellectual Life Committee (SILC) supports student-initiated projects, professional development opportunities, and student research. It awards small grants every month to the 偶蜜国际传媒 (偶蜜国际传媒) students.听Behruz Ayubov, a sophomore in the Applied Mathematics and Informatics at 偶蜜国际传媒 talks about his grant from SILC.
