Dr. Aizhana Dzhumalieva is the Chair and an Assistant Professor in the Journalism and Mass Communication department at the 偶蜜国际传媒. She is a Doctor of Business Administration from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) (2023, Russia). She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the 偶蜜国际传媒 (2013, Kyrgyzstan) and a specialized degree in International Relations with honors from the International University of Kyrgyzstan (2006, Kyrgyzstan).听
Dr. Dzhumalieva joined 偶蜜国际传媒 in 2016 and served as the Head of the School of Entrepreneurship and Business Administration (SEBA) (2019-2020), a member of the Executive Committee and a member of the Appeal Committee within the Faculty Senate (2019), and the Chair of the Master of Arts in Journalism Program in 2018-2019 and from 2021 until the present day.听
In addition to her duties as the Chair and designing curriculum plans for students and faculty, Dr. Dzhumalieva has taken a key role in a large-scale international project - the Lead Media Literacy Course Expert for 偶蜜国际传媒 in the global Open Society University Network (OSUN) Project. In partnership with Arizona State University (ASU) and Al-Quds Bard, 偶蜜国际传媒 developed and piloted online courses in Media Literacy, Information, and Communications for use in all OSUN countries and institutions. She oversees an international project for journalists in collaboration with the Program on Independent Journalism and has been working as the curriculum director of 鈥淭he Central Asian Journalism Summer Institute鈥 (CAJSI) and program director of the Media Fellowship Program for students from Afghanistan. She is the author of the book Finding Hope in Kyrgyzstan: One Year of Taliban Rule in Afghanistan.
Dr. Dzhumalieva serves on an advisory board of the Global Commons OSUN and is a member of the American FLEX Alumni, Global UGRAD, and ACCESS at the American Chamber (AmCham) Mentors Club. She led accreditation processes of the Journalism and Mass Communications department and the School of Entrepreneurship and Business Administration in close collaboration with the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education EdNet. She is a member of the Technical Advisory Group at the World Health Organization (WHO) on Risk Communication, Community Engagement & Infodemic Management, and the WHO Regional Office for Europe.听
